the former drug abuser, Olaf Olsvik and his wife, Margit.
Olaf is well-known as the author of the book
”Rus & Rolex” [Highs & Rolex] which is the story of his life as a drug addict and fraudster.

Some of the employees also have their own experience of dependencies, either their own or in their own families. All of the employees adhere to strict rules of confidentiality. Mestringshusene meets all current official requirements for this type of treatment. The clinics is staffed on a 24-hour basis and is open 365 days per year.
Alcohol, pills and narcotics are dependency-creating substances. And dependency is a disease that affects people across the borders of age, social status, economy and gender. Mestringshusene treats all types of substance abuse and employs a holistic treatment method that also involves the family. Well-structured post-treatment care is also an important part of the treatment.
